RM740   Baryte with hematite inclusions
Ba(SO4)

Group of tabular barite crystals showing well defined faces and edges, good transparency and excellent brilliance. Its color takes on a greenish gray shades due to inclusions. Observed under the microscope, you could see the presence of reddish acicular inclusions of hematite. This sample was published in the Mineralogical Record (Vol. 45, No. 1) as a novelty in the Munich Mineral Show 2013. 1j446h
