A novelty from Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2022. These specimens come from a recent find in this mining area of the Black Forest and are reminiscent of those found decades ago in this area. They show radial aggregates of extremely brilliant pyrolusite crystals that partially replace manganite. By X-ray diffraction we have been determined the presence of both species, even with a certain predominance of manganite. They usually appear on a matrix of pink granite or as groups of large crystals in parallel growth. In the specimens we can observe the inclined flattened terminal faces. In this specimen we can observe numerous prismatic crystals of hydroxylherderite, an unusual calcium and beryllium hydroxylphosphate, with a very uniform beige color, very well defined faces and edges and with twinning. They are disposed on a matrix formed by albite crystals. The specimen is from the Piauí Valley, an area very rich in lithium-bearing pegmatites.
The Monteponi phosgenite specimens are a classic of European and worldwide mineralogy. This specimen shows us two differentiated zones. One with a group of phosgenite crystals in parallel growth accompanied by a well defined prismatic crystal. Translucent and with the classic honey gray tone. They are disposed on a galena matrix with numerous anglesite crystals. This specimen belongs with the label of the René Hubin collection (Belgium).

Group of twinned rhombohedral dolomite crystals with very well defined faces and edges. They show striated faces, transparence and brilliance. With gray inclusions arranged randomly, not uniform. A classic of Spanish mineralogy.
Aesthetic globular aggregate of thomsonite-Ca, with a slightly bony tone and disposed in a basalt vacuole lined with small phillipsite crystals. Arensberg phillipsite crystals contain both potassium and calcium, and in some crystals calcium is dominant. A very good specimen for this German locality, little represented in collections.

On a sulfide matrix we can enjoy hundreds of arsenopyrite crystals, prismatic, with defined terminal faces, rather than well-defined. They're accompanied by chalcopyrite crystals with dull luster, but gold tone, also well-defined and twinned. Brilliance and quality. Good sized specimen.

Globular and radial aggregates of alumohydrocalcite crystals, white to cream in color and with a silky luster. They contrast on the brown siderite. They come from this classic French mine, nowadays partially restored.
Very sharp single zunyite crystal with good luster, coloured by red hematite inclusions and with some small brilliant foliaceous hematite partially included in faces. Very clean tetrahedron form, truncated by cubic faces. Tetrahedron edge is 9.7 mm. A good sized and perfect crystallographic specimen of this unusual species, a rare sorosilicate of aluminum and chlorine, with fluorine. Analized by X-ray difraction and X-ray fluorescence.
Fehrite is a recent new species found in Almeria (Spain). Some years ago (2012) we identified this species in the Les Ferreres mine (Camprodon) but unfortunatelly we didn't have enough sample to finish detrmination and structural studies. Recently we found some more samples and the characterization was carried out based on the results obtained from the application of various analytical techniques: SEM-EDS, Raman and X-ray diffraction. Les Ferreres mine is the second locality worldwide for the species. We will send all reports to the buyer.
In this Catalan mine, fehrite appears as elongated elongated tabular to fibrous crystals, with a delicate bluish-green tone, and fibrous terminations. Usually, it is accompanied by devilline (blue) and brochantite (green). It is the magnesium analogue of ktenasite.
Specimen of anhydrite formed by numerous prismatic to tabular crystals, well defined and interpenetrated. On the back we can see the matrix formed by dolomite and brilliant pyrite crystals. Specimens from this Italian mine, located north of Boccheggiano, were collected at the end of the 20th century. The mine worked from the early 1980s, currently the mine is closed.
Excellent specimen of hydroboracite, with a very good size, formed by numerous radial aggregates of acicular crystals. Very good brilliance, transparence and with color zoning, between colorless to slightly honeyed. This specimen has a former owner's label fixed to the back side. A display museum specimen.
Rare and good sized mangan-diaspore (diaspore with manganese) specimen showing brilliant, transparent to translucent, burgundy red tabular crystals disposed in an arc on matrix. We can also observe small geodes full of crystals. The Glosam Mine specimens are the only ones in the Kalahari area in which the manganese diaspore shows this intense color and brilliance. An exceptional specimen for a little-seen species.
Baryte crystals from this quarry are a classic of Catalan mineralogy. They appear in the fissures of the slates, usually covered by iron oxydes. In this specimen we can see various groups of prismatic crystals, brilliant and transparent, rich in faces. Among them, a larger one stands out in which we can see the faces of orthorhombic prisms of various orders truncated by pinacoidal faces. Nowadays it is very difficult to find specimens in this quarry and even less with the quality we offer.
Floating druse of quartz crystals forming pineapple growths, with a good luster and a slightly yellowish hue. On the backside, also crystallized, we can see the typical kaolinite layer of this deposit. It is accompanied by a limonite that was probably pyrite.
These specimens were collected in this A Coruña quarry that exploits quartz, one of the main mines in the world due to the quality and quantity of its reserves. The mine was discovered in 1968 by three Galicians who gave their name (from their surnames SEñarís, RAma and BALboa) to the concession and who found it while exploring these mountains in the Pico Sacro area in search of "seixo" (from the Galician: hard white rock) of good quality.
Fluorite specimens from Sant Marçal mines usually appear as aggregates of cubic crystals, defined, sometimes sprinkled or partially covered by quartz crystals. Yellow to greenish tones are the usual ones. Specimens with violet to bluish colors (depending on the type of incident light) are much less frequent and highly appreciated by collectors. These specimens we offer were collected at the beginning of the 70s. Some small nick, very common in these specimens, without affecting the quality. In this specimen we can observe cubic crystals with this bluish to greenish tone, translucent and disposed on a characteristic ochy "pegmatite" matrix. They are partially covered and on with small but brilliant quartz crystals.
The Matagalls fluorite mines are located in the Montseny massif. They are well known for fluorite, but also for quartz crystals of the amethyst variety like ones shown in this specimen. Numerous amethyst crystals are disposed on a matrix upholstered by yellowish-green fluorite, partially covered by small very brilliant calcite crystals.
These celestite specimens come from a classic locality on the Cantabrian coast such as Langre, together with Laredo. These are idiomorphic crystals formed within a nodule. Very brilliant, defined and transparent, with a delicate bluish color.

The Rubián Magnesite mines are a classic of Galician mineralogy. Currently these mines are active exploiting one of the largest deposits of magnesite in Spain. This specimen, which dates from the late 1970s, shows us a rich aggregate of lenticular crystals of this magnesium carbonate, brilliant, translucent, and with a very aesthetic orange color. It belongs from the Joan Astor collection, with his handwritten and another typed labels.
