A very curious copper specimen pseudomorphed by secondary copper minerals such as malachite and azurite. In this sample we can find a layer of small but brilliant azurite crystals and larger ones very well defined and isolated. Accompanied by small quartz crystals. A piece to enjoy under the magnifying glass. 5hd10
Excellent specimen of fluorite with an intense color and well defined faces and edges. It shows polycrystalline cubic growths with a color that varies between violet to purple depending on the light, with geometric color zoning. It is accompanied by quartz crystals.
Cobaltkoritnigite specimens from this mine are the first report of this mineral in Spain. It appears forming globular aggregates with a deep pinkish red with erythrite (pink color). Under the electronic microscope we can observe that these globules are composed by tabular crystals. It is a cobalt with zinc arsenate and belongs to the koritnigita group (zinc arsenate). In this mine has been found at low levels. Analysis results will be sent to the buyer.
We have published a book called "Rocabruna i el seu entorn. La mina de les Ferreres" where you could enjoy all species collected and determined until the date of publication (2014).
These rounded nuggests are found nowadays in the bed of the river Viloque. They have been teared off from the mineralized veins by the glacial erosion and actually are found in gold placers. This piece is a classic example of these nuggets, intense silvery metallic luster, rounded by abrasion, and a good size for this locality. Native bismuth is known from many localities worldwide, but nuggets from Viloque River are the mostn known for the species.
Excellent and very rich specimen of theisite where we can observe several globular clusters formed by lamellar crystals with an intense blue-green color contrasting with the azurite. This mineral species from this mine is the second citation in Spain. Analysis results will be sent to buyer. This is a rare arsenate-antimonate of copper and zinc has been described in this mine in the Pyrenees.
We have published a book called "Rocabruna i el seu entorn. La mina de les Ferreres" where you could enjoy all species collected and determined until the date of publication (2014).
Radial aggregates of acicular tyrolite crystals grown in the fissures of the barite matrix. Characteristic bluish green color and good luster. Analysis results will be sent to buyer. Accompanied by botryoidal malachite and sprays of acicular aragonite.

Excellent groups formed by lamellar crystals of claraite, of an intense turquoise blue, on a matrix of dolomite and sulphides. It is accompanied by spheric aggregates of theisite crystals, with a bluish to green color. Also with azurite. Analysis results will be sent to the buyer.
Claraite is a rare copper and zinc carbonate which may contain sulfur and/or arsenic. Theisite is a rare copper and zinc arsenate-antimonate that has been described for the first time in this mine in the Catalan Pyrenees. These mineral species are the second citation in Spain.

Globular aggregates formed by lamellar crystals of theisite. With a bluish to green color and brilliance. On a dolomite matrix. This mineral species is the second citation in Spain. Theisite is a rare copper and zinc arsenate-antimonate that has been described for the first time in this mine in the Catalan Pyrenees. Accompanied by several azurite, transparent, bright, well-defined and some doubly terminated. Also with botryoidal to stalactitic malachite aggregates. Analysis results will be sent to the buyer.

Small but interesting specimen of curite that presents groups of brilliant acicular prismatic crystals with an intense orange color. Observed under the microscope we can see that they have transparency and are accompanied by yellow crystals soddyita. This radioactive mineral is named after Pierre Curie (see wikipedia) and this sample is from Shinkolobwe, the type locality for the species. A chance to get a piece with curite crystals.
A rich druse of cuprian adamite crystals which is completely covering the cavity in limonite. With stalactitic growths showing an intense blue-green color. They are peppered by small white globular aggregates of smithsonite, along with areas of rosasite green. Accompanied by globular aggregates of conichalcite and very defined cuprian adamite crystals. An interesting specimen with good size.
Group of interpenetrated cubic fluorite crystals with violet tones and delicate color zoning, transparence in some crystals, most being translucent. Characteristic for fluorite of this mine are the corroded faces. They are disposed on a matrix of iron oxides. What I also would like to emphisize of this piece is the mine from which it comes, near Alumbres in Cartagena, not well represented in collections.
Group of interpenetrated pyritohedrons on matrix from a classic Spanish locality as Ambasaguas. Very sharp faces and edges, intense golden color and excellent luster. The perfection of the Rioja pyrites.
Interesting and old specimen of annabergite showing bright green flattened prismatic crystals with transparence. They are disposed in cavities of the dolomitic matrix. From Laurion, an European classic locality. The specimen is accompanied by an old label from XIX century from an unknown German collection (till today).
Group of sharp fluorite crystals showing cubic forms distinguished by their delicate green apple color. Good transparency and good brilliance. They are partially covered by brilliant clusters of hyaline quartz. A bright piece from Morocco.
A novelty in the Castelló mineral show 2014. This is a group of aragonite crystals showing very aesthetic flos ferry structures, with good brilliance and white color, slightly brownish tones at the terminal crystals. It comes from a Almerian mountains well known for its hot springs.

Excellent combo formed by a group of ferberite crystals with parallel growths, with an intense black color and good brightness, peppered by lenticular siderite crystals. They are ed by a hyaline quartz crystal partially covered by muscovite. Note that quartz has a small dent on one of the faces of the terminal rhombohedra, without affecting the aesthetics of the sample. Arsenopyrite has grown on the ferberite. A specimen with a superb aesthetics, from a classic locality like Panasqueira.
This specimen is very rich in lanceolate clinozoisite greenish crystals, bright and sharp. They are accompanied by groups of quartz with well-developed prism according to the main axis. A Peruvian locality not well represented in collections.
These crystals show astonishing sharpness of tetrahexahedron faces, together with the less developed cube. Crystals are uncolored (under halogen light) or slightly bluish (under fluorescent light), bright and completely clear and are scattered over an esthetic matrix of white crystals of barite. A high-quality specimen that belonged to the Silvane (Barcelona) collection.
Bipyramidal crystal of powellite with a good size, very brilliant and well defined faces and edges. With a delicate honey color and some transparence. It is accompanied by stilbite crystals on matrix.
This specimen is showing a very rich group of allanite-(Ce) crystals, disposed randomly on a cavity covered by dolomite and calcite. This mineral with Rare Earth Elements (REE) is a classic for this French quarry, in the Pyrenees. It shows very elongated prismatic crystals, with transparence and brown to toasted honey tones.
From a recent find in the Valentín open pit, we get these hemimorphite specimens showing aggregates of flattened prismatic crystals as aesthetic rosettes. They are partiallly filling cavities in the matrix. These samples have been analyzed and we will send a copy to the buyer.
Group of fluorite crystals with faces and sharp edges. One of them shows a good size for the locality. Its intensely toasted honey color is very particular. Note that it is extremely fluorescent with a yellowish tone. It is accompanied by several tabular crystals of white celestite and a group of calcite. It is difficult to find in the market samples of this mine without damages (this only has a almost invisible small dent) since they "fall down" in the geodes. An aesthtic American classic.
Group of fluorite crystals with echeloned parallel growth, with marked faces and edges and damage free. Its honey color is very particular to this locality. Note that it is extremely fluorescent with a yellowish tone. Accompanied by white celestite crystals and disposed on a matrix with dolomite and calcite. It is difficult to find in the market pieces from this mine without damages, because they use to "fall down" in the vugs. An aesthetic American classic.
